Away Days (Autumn & Spring)

Winter (Spring) Away Day 2019 – Mill Green Golf Club

On a dry, but chilly day, twenty one Venerables assembled at Mill Green Golf Club to participate in our Spring Away Day, playing for the Winter Stableford Trophy. Unfortunately, due to the course being a tad moist, with a consequent buggy ban on the back 9 holes, our 4 buggy boys had to play the front 9 twice which excluded them from participating in playing for the trophy. However, good food, good company and a good time was had by all.

For the 17 that did play for the trophy the results are indicated below.

Autumn Away Day 2018

On a misty, murky morning 19 Venerables set off to play for the Summer Stableford Trophy at Ely City Golf Club (Autumn Away Day)

Fortunately, we only had to play a few holes in the murk before we were treated to some warm sunshine. There were some mixed fortunes on the day on a golf course in excellent condition. This was followed by a very enjoyable meal with some great company.

Thanks to Alan for making all the arrangements with the lovely Gracie, Andrew Wyatt for photography, Richard for organising the draw, but especially to Bernard, our host for the day.
