Autumn Away Day 2018
On a misty, murky morning 19 Venerables set off to play for the Summer Stableford Trophy at Ely City Golf Club (Autumn Away Day)
Fortunately, we only had to play a few holes in the murk before we were treated to some warm sunshine. There were some mixed fortunes on the day on a golf course in excellent condition. This was followed by a very enjoyable meal with some great company.
Thanks to Alan for making all the arrangements with the lovely Gracie, Andrew Wyatt for photography, Richard for organising the draw, but especially to Bernard, our host for the day.

|Letchworth Golf Club Away Day 2018 – 14 Venerables braved the very breezy and wet conditions conditions to play for the Winter Stableford John Owen Trophy, awarded to the winner of the Spring Away Day.
After an excellent Bacon Roll & Coffee we set off to play in slightly breezy and wet conditions due to many days of rain before our event. Afterwards we had an excellent lunch of Steak Pie, Roast Potatoes, Peas & Carrots followed by everybody’s favourite Apple Crumble and Custard.
Thanks to Merv, Alan and Bernard for the cards, and for organising a wonderful days golf, and to captain Tony for entertaining us whilst giving out the days prizes.
